and the following year as a specialist in-charge in pre- conditioning treatment for
the athletes, to help them achieve their best athletic performance.
Upon college graduation (what motivated me to be a treatment specialist)
When I was a child, I would probably be classified as the non-athletic type, such that, in my Junior High School years, to be a member of the Junior High School Ekiden (long-distance relay race) was unexpected. However, I became a member of the Ekiden team. During the initial year, because I did not take running seriously, I was on occasions, at the point of losing my membership as a regular runner in the team. But, in time, a non-athletic child like me was able to graduate and enter High School through sports.
Accepted as an athlete, I therefore exerted more effort; put more spirit to my practice. I was blessed to be under a good leader and good team members. Whereas previously, on the local events I wound not have been considered a contender, soon I have become a recognized athlete. However, to be able to constantly have the best results, even if one is not in the best condition physically, it was necessary to practice more and more. Such that I begun to experience injuries. Furthermore, upon entering the university I tried very hard to achieve the high level of standard and practice necessary in the university, so I often experienced injuries, hence, usually unable to practice.
While trying out different kinds of treatment for my injury, I would、get well ---achieve the best--- have an injury or problem. This became a repeated pattern such that I started to think about matter seriously. At that time, it is said that my injury or problem will not occur with correct muscle training or proper muscular workout. However, frankly speaking, even if I rigorously did the proper muscular workout, I felt nothing has changed; it still resulted in an injury. Tiring of the pain and the recurring problem, my coach recommended a specialist, with whom I received treatment.
While undergoing treatment with the Sensei (specialist, osteopath), the questions I had in mind were slowly being answered as I physically experienced the changes of getting better physically. "What? Is there such wonderful thing!" I said in astonishment. "If there were more people (specialist) who could do this treatment, then, what ever physical break down, injuries, aches, other sports related injuries, or such related body problems, we need not worry!" I began to think about it, this way.
At this point, I have decided in my heart and in my mind that in the future, I would like to be a specialist like the Sensei.
The Road to becoming a specialist
To become a specialist was not an easy task but with help and support, I passed the requirements and became a licensed practitioner in 1999. I practiced and became a treatment specialist in various clinics and later established my own clinic. All throughout, I continued to participate at the "Kinetic Forum", established by the Sensei specialist who treated me when I was in the university. I continue to learn more on the Total Balance System.
What is great with the Total Balance System is that, by means of a simple examination, the person's particular habit, peculiarity or posture is found. For treatment, balance is established or rather reestablished. Usually, the patient does not even notice that during the treatment the particular habit, peculiarity or wrong posture has been corrected. Sometimes they notice it latter. The important thing is that the treatment is designed to relieve the patient of the pain, ache or stress and at the same time improved the person's ability to move.
Each person has a habit or posture and though one might say, "I do not do this particular motion", in going through our everyday life, there is the tendency to some kind of habit or inclination, causing depolarization, but most people do not seem to notice such, resulting in pain, ache, or stress in the body or it's movement.
When I was an athlete, the reason that was no improvement in my condition then, even with proper muscle training, was here. Although my form was correct, the proper sensation of the body's ability to move was not there.
It would be my pleasure to be of help/ of service to the local residents and to everyone who desire to acquire such proper body sensation or condition.
The clinic's treatment approach :
● What is the essential cause of the pain?
↓
● There is certainly a cause or a reason for the pain, pain is a symptom.
↓
● Pain is the result of body's alarm mechanism signaling that something is wrong, there is a dysfunction within the body
↓
● By just putting off the alarm or just treating the pain,
it is said that the real damage, or source of the problem is not cured.
↓
● At Miyabi Sekkotsuin, the clinic's fundamental objective/ intension, is to be able to treat and carry out the treatment of the problem from its source.
The clinic offers it's services for the following injury, pain and other
